The Destiny Line

Of the secondary lines on the palm, the most important is the destiny line, also known as the  Line of Fate or the Line of Saturn. This line normally runs for part of the way starting from the wrist near the the life line, and running towards the Mount of Saturn under the second finger.

It is the career line, indicating how successful and how settled you are, and will be in your chosen career. If it begins towards the Mount of Luna this can indicate success through your own efforts, and independance of thought and action.

Where the line begins further up the hand, this means an uneventful, perhaps an idle or unsuccessful early life. A sharply defined Line of Fate is the strongest indicator of your potential future . Where it is thin it means you need to work very hard for success; where it is chained, it suggests difficulties. If the line is absent altogether or very indistinct, you may still be able to overcome this handicap and achieve success. A break in the line can meaqn a complete change.

If the line continues after a break, look carefully to see whether it does so closer to the thumb, which can indicate an improvement in your general career situation, or away from it, which can mean the opposite. A double destiny line which runs parallel to the main line for some of its length, is an indication that you will have strong interests and hobbies outside of your career.

Sometimes the Destiny line does not end on the Mount of Saturn but runs across or branches off to the Mount of Jupiter; indicating a great success through ambition, or to the Mount of Apollo, indicating some artistic success.

THE LINE OF APOLLO
The Line of Apollo, also known as the sun line, is not found on all hands. Where it does exist it ends on or close to the Mount of Apollo, although its beginning may be on the Mount of Luna, the Plain of Mars or the Life Line. It is, generally, a sign of the prospect of accomplishment, and the longer the line the more will be accomplished.

THE LINE OF MERCURY
The Line of Mercury (or Health) runs towards the Mount of Mercury, sometimes from the wrist end of the Mount of Luna. While a clean deep line suggests a life free from illness so, ironically, does an absence of the line. A chained line predicts liver troubles, a broad, shallow line indicates stomach problems, while dots, bars and breaks on the line suggest illness to come at those age points.

Marriage lines

Also known as relationship lines, these run horizontally across your palm, starting at the edge, just below the mount of mercury. The longer and deeper lines indicate long term or passionate relationships. If there are several lines it can indicate other energies around you that are interested in you, even if you are not aware of this. Sometimes there are very few or no lines at all, if you are still recovering from a break up, and need time to yourself to heal.

All of these features and more of your hand and palm, are signposts to your personality, past, present and future. Recognizing these lines is only one part of the process. The Psychic interpretation of them, and understanding how they all relate to each other, is the real skill when it comes to psychic divination through palmistry.
